How to use this spelling worksheet generator

1. Paste your word list. One word per line — straight from your curriculum guide, a spelling program, or this week's vocabulary. There's nothing to upload and no account to create.
2. Pick a grade preset. K–1 prints large with generous line spacing for beginning writers; 2–3 is the everyday middle setting; 4–5 uses smaller type so longer lists fit on one page.
3. Choose a style. Trace the word, fill in the missing letters, or write each word three times — three different worksheets from the same list, each one click apart.
4. Print or save as PDF. The printout is just the worksheet: a name and date line at the top, cleanly spaced practice rows, and none of the buttons or menus you see on screen. To save instead of print, choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog.

Three practice styles, one word list

Trace the word shows each word three times in light, traceable type. It suits the introduction day, when students are meeting the words for the first time and need a model to follow. Missing letters hides alternating letters — first and last stay visible — so students have to recall the spelling pattern rather than copy it. It makes a good midweek check. Write 3× prints the word once as a model followed by three blank lines, the classic format for the night-before-the-test run-through.

Because the styles share one list, a common routine is to print all three across the week: trace on Monday, missing letters on Wednesday, write 3× on Thursday. Repetition with increasing difficulty is what moves words into long-term memory — the generator just removes the formatting work.

The worksheet fits both US Letter and A4 — choose either in your print dialog and keep the scale at 100% so line heights stay consistent between sheets. Light trace text and thin rules are deliberate: they photocopy cleanly and don't drain toner.
